# Exam Day Online

Prepares candidates for the procedures and expectations on exam day for the Online Nurse Aide Written/English Oral Examination in Iowa

### **Online Exam Instructions**

A live proctor will monitor your exam through the webcam on your computer or laptop to ensure a secure testing experience. Online exams also offer greater flexibility in scheduling compared to test center exams, making it easier to find a time that works for you. For more information on what to expect and how to prepare, visit [credentia.com/online-exams](https://www.credentia.com/online-exams/). We also recommend reviewing the **“Policies & Procedures”** link on that page to familiarize yourself with detailed exam rules.

### **What You'll Need**

- **A properly equipped computer**: Use a desktop, laptop, or Chromebook with a single monitor. **(Smartphones and tablets are not allowed)**. For system requirements, visit [credentia.com/online-exams](https://www.credentia.com/online-exams/).
- **A private room**: Ensure you have a quiet, distraction-free space. If you don’t have access to a private room, check with your training program or local library for availability.
- **A mobile device**: You’ll need a smartphone or tablet (Apple or Android) to perform a **360-degree room scan**. Download our free app for this purpose.
- **No other materials**: Only the required items listed above are allowed during your exam.

### **Before Exam Day**

- **Perform a System Test**: Run the system test and exam simulation to ensure your computer and setup are ready. Go to [**credentia.com/online-exams**](https://kb-iowa.credentia.com/en/article/credentia.com/online-exams) and click the **“Run System Test”** button.
- **Find Your Testing Space**: Choose a quiet area free from distractions in your home or office for your exam.
- **Get Your ID Ready**: You must bring **two forms of government-issued, signature-bearing identification**, one of which must be a **photo ID**. **Photocopies are not accepted**.

The name on your ID must match the name used during registration. If it does not, you **will not** be allowed to test, and your exam fee **will not** be refunded.
